What is a Humanist Celebrant?

I wanted to take a moment to talk about what being a humanist means to me and why I think it's an important perspective to consider when planning your wedding.

Being a humanist is all about valuing human beings and their experiences, and recognising the importance of empathy, reason, and compassion. As a humanist wedding celebrant, I believe that your wedding day should be a celebration of your love and commitment to each other, and that it should reflect your unique personalities, beliefs, and values.

I am proud to say that I am a member of the Humanist Society Northern Ireland, an organisation that promotes humanist values and supports those who identify as humanists. Through my work with the society and as a celebrant, I strive to create meaningful and memorable wedding ceremonies that are inclusive, respectful, and authentic no matter what walk of life you come from. EVERYONE is welcome!
